I was an artist before I was a designer

My formative years were spent drawing and painting.

I had a very focused and technical education in visual art. I learned first and foremost to draw from life and how meaning can be expressed through medium. In college, I learned how a physical element, whether in illustration, lettering or manipulation can elevate a message. When the opportunity presents itself for me to apply my traditional, physical skills to enhance a creative concept, I am on cloud nine.
